Everything you need to know about Carole Ann Boone
While Ted Bundy was serving his death sentence row, Carole Ann Boone fell in love with him and had his child.

Her romantic adventure with Bundy began in 1974 after she had just divorced her second husband. While working at the Department of Emergency Services in Olympia, Washington, Boone and Bundy met for the first time. In order to locate many women he killed, Bundy assisted the officers in conducting search operations.
In the book The Only Living Witness: The True Story of Serial Sex Killer Ted Bundy by Stephen G. Michaud and Hugh Aynesworth, Boone describes Bundy as “a lusty-tempered free spirit”.

“I liked Ted immediately. We hit it off well.” Boone continued, “He struck me as a shy person with a lot more going on under the surface than what was on the surface.”
She wasn’t aware that Bundy was already involved in gruesome crimes like kidnapping, raping, and murdering young ladies. While in a relationship with him, Elizabeth Kloepfer was hesitant to report him to police even though she felt suspicious.
Ted Bundy’s Persona
It might appear weird for people to be affectionate toward a serial killer like Ted Bundy, however, it is important to bear in mind his sociopathic charm. Bundy used to keep those ladies whom he did not kill at an arm’s length distance so that he can carry on with his nightly bloodlust and spend the daytime with women during work hours according to ati.
He served as a de facto father figure to Elizabeth Kloepfer’s daughter for approximately seven years. Women used to feel that there was something meaningful about him.
Despite being a Republican, he was more dignified and restrained than the more certifiable types around the office. He would participate in the silliness parkway.
As a hippie and anti-Vietnam activist, Bundy looked more conservative than his colleagues. Perhaps Boone was attracted to him because of this image.
Arrest and Trial of Bundy
A 12-year-old girl was kidnapped and assaulted by Bundy in 1975 in Utah when police found pantyhose, a ski mask, handcuffs, etc in his Volkswagen Beetle.
Boone and Bundy’s relationship continued to grow slowly and steadily. They exchanged letters and Boone visited him daily. At the time, she was not yet married to Ted Bundy, but she was growing close to him.
After two years in prison, Bundy was extradited to Colorado to serve his 15-year sentence. Bundy even attempted to escape prison with the help of money smuggled in by Boone.
He fled to Florida and committed two heinous crimes. He murdered Chi Omega sorority girls Margaret Bowman and Lisa Levy, and kidnapped, assaulted, and murdered 12-year-old Kimberly Leach. He also relocated to Florida to attend Bundy’s trial, in which Bundy was acting as his own defense attorney.
Carole Ann Boone and Ted Bundy’s Relationship
In an interview, Boone stated, “Let me put it this way, I do not believe Ted belongs in jail. The things in Florida don’t concern me as much as things in the west.”
Ted Bundy should not be charged with murder in either Leon County or Columbia County, according to her.

As her conviction was very strong, she decided to relocate to Gainesville, about 40 miles from the prison. Every week, she visited Ted and his son Jayme.
During his trial, Bundy revealed that his relationship with Boone had become more serious and romantic in recent years.
During their book, Michaud and Aynesworth wrote: “They were crazy together. Carole loved him. She told him she wanted a child, and somehow they had sex in prison.” Touching was permitted, and there were times when intercourse could take place behind a water cooler, in the restroom, or even at a table.”
Despite the fact that it was not allowed inside the prison technically, Boone explained that one of the security guards was very nice and simply ignored their activities.
Carole Ann Boone was heard saying, “After the first day they just didn’t care. They walked in on us a couple of times.”

It was common at the jail for visitors to bribe security guards in order to get some personal time with the prisoners, according to Ann Rule, a former Seattle police officer and author of the book The Stranger Beside Me on Bundy.
Some media outlets even report that Boone smuggled drugs into prison by hiding them in her skirt.
Bundy’s Marriage Proposal to Boone in Court
It was already Bundy’s third death sentence that resulted from the murder of Kimberly Leach. Bundy had already been sentenced to death for the gruesome murders in the past.
In the middle of Bundy’s murder trial, Carole Ann agreed to marry him. Bundy said, “I hereby marry you.” and they were officially married.
