Following the divorce of Ne-Yo and Crystal Renay, the singer-songwriter will now pay nearly $2 million in settlement to his ex-wife. The news comes just five months after Renay filed for divorce, accusing Ne-Yo of cheating.
After first getting married in 2016, the couple separated in 2020. However, they reconciled later and tied the knot again in April 2022. They agreed to share custody of their children in the divorce settlement.
In a divorce settlement, Ne-Yo will pay Renay around $2 million
To account for their real estate holdings, the 43-year-old singer will pay Renay about $1.6 million. He will also pay her an additional $20,000 for her moving expenses. Renay will keep one of their four Georgia estates.
He has decided to keep the 2022 Bentley Bentayga and give his ex-wife $150,000 so she can buy a new car. For their three children, Shaffer Jr., 6, Roman, 4, and Isabella, 1, he will be paying $12,000 in child support a month. He will also cover their educational expenses.
It has also been agreed that both parties will not have romantic partners around their minor children until they get engaged to marry. Otherwise, they will have to get approval from one another. Also, Renay will receive $5,000 a month in alimony from the Because of You singer.

During the last few years, Ne-Yo and Renay have been on and off together. After getting married in February 2016, the couple divorced in 2020. However, during the Covid pandemic, they decided to give their relationship another chance and rekindled their romance in quarantine.
Last April, Renay and Ne-Yo married again. However, the marriage was short-lived, as Renay announced in an emotional Instagram post that she was splitting from her husband just five months later. In her essay, she accused Ne-Yo of cheating on her and wrote, “8 years of lies and deception.”
She continued, “After 8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and my husband with dozens of women who sold their bodies to him unprotected, I’m heartbroken and disgusted.”.
I won’t lie to the public or pretend this is something it isn’t. I choose me, my happiness, my health, and my respect.”
