Her middle name, Kai, is of Hawaiian origin and means “sea” or “ocean.” Kilpatrick’s parents married in 2007 after dating for two years. Pratt and Kilpatrick eloped to Hawaii without telling their families, but later had a formal ceremony in Los Angeles.
Kilpatrick has appeared in several of her mother’s music videos, including “Do It Again” and “The One I Gotta Have.” She made her acting debut alongside her mother in the 2016 short film Home Is Where The Heart Is. In 2018, she voiced the character of Young Nala in the animated feature film The Lion King.
Kilpatrick is currently enrolled in elementary school. When she grows up, she wants to be either a veterinarian or an actress like her mother.
