After the launch of ChatGPT, an AI-powered chatbot that has the potential to answer almost any question you have, Google has now developed its own AI service called Bard, based on the platform’s success.
Google Bard is a chatbot that can converse with you like a human. It can be used for a variety of things, including retrieving information, asking questions, and even writing essays.
Google Announces the Launch of Chatbot ‘Bard’
A Google Bard chatbot can provide you with the latest information and analyze different statistics and facts to come up with new information on its own. It can be used for teaching, writing, researching, or merely conversing with a person.
A technology called LaMDA is used by the chatbot to predict words statistically. It is based on a neural network called Transformer. ChatGPT is also based on the GPT-3 language model, which is also based on Transformer. This neural network was developed by Google in 2017 and has been used by the company to carry out internal functions for years.
Bard is Google’s experimental conversational AI service powered by LaMDA. Built using our large language models, it’s a launchpad for curiosity and can simplify complex topics,” wrote Google about the chatbot.
How to Use Google Bard?
As of now, Bard hasn’t been released to the public. Google has said it’s only available to a select group of ‘trusted testers’. However, the company expects to make the service more widely accessible in the coming weeks.
Additionally, Google has created a detailed tutorial that explains how to use the chatbot once it launches. Once Bard launches, you will need to log into its website. Although the website will differ from Google’s search engine, some features will be similar, such as the search bar, to the Google search engine.

In the search bar, you can enter any question or statement, and Bard will find all the relevant information. In the demo video, the chatbot was asked, “What new discoveries can I share with my 9 year old about the James Webb Space Telescope?” Bard then displayed all of the recent discoveries made by the telescope that can ‘spark a child’s imagination’.
Google Says the AI-Powered Features will be Incorporated in Search Engine as Well
In addition, the company says AI can help us understand information better and turn it into useful knowledge more efficiently. In addition to incorporating AI-powered features into its search engine, Google elaborated on how they plan to delve more deeply into AI.

Search will soon introduce AI-powered features that distill complex information and multiple perspectives into easy-to-digest formats, so you can quickly understand the big picture and learn more from the web.
“Whether you’re looking for blogs from people who play both piano and guitar or digging deeper into a related topic, such as steps to get started as a beginner. These new AI features will be rolling out soon on Google Search.”
